Paul is very emphatic on the importance of love in the life of a believer. The church at Corinth was focused on all of the actions of the Holy Spirit, and puffing themselves up, but had neglected love. We as Christians today can get caught up in “playing church” and forget that love should be at the core of everything we do. Actions are temporary, knowledge is limited, love is eternal. Love should be at the root of all that we do as we live a life pointing others to God through the love He has given us.
