The impact of non-believing philosophers on the church was taking a toll on their resurrection theology. The church at Corinth had started to have issues with believing in Jesus but doubting resurrection. Paul reminds them that you cannot believe in Jesus without believing in the resurrection from the dead. It is a necessary theology for our own eternity, as well as the impact of the gospel here on earth.

He reminds them that we must be aware of the source of our information. Don’t take spiritual advice from someone who does not believe in the gospel. We should consider the source of our information, and become solid sources of information for others. This means allowing the gospel to permeate every area of our life because it is all going to bow at the feet of the resurrected Jesus anyway.

We might as well lay it all before Him now!
